Set within the tightly held streets of Balmain East, this project reimagines a modest heritage cottage into a warm, light-filled family home that feels both grounded and quietly luxurious. The design carefully retains and restores the original street presence, while introducing a contemporary addition to the rear that opens generously to the garden.

Internally, the home is defined by soft, layered materials and a restrained palette, allowing light, texture and proportion to take centre stage. A sculptural staircase, detailed joinery and natural stone elements create moments of interest throughout, while the open-plan living spaces connect seamlessly to the outdoors, supporting relaxed, everyday living.
